Scheduled
The Akamai Identity Cloud (AIC) service will undergo a maintenance update on 04 JANUARY 2024 starting at 17:00 UTC and lasting for ~4 hours. The updates will be made to all Identity Cloud regions. Please note that some deployments will be held back from Tokyo as this region does not have the most current version of the Hosted Login service.

Authentication, Hosted Login, Console and SIEM Event Delivery Service Maintenance
- When: 04 JANUARY 2024, 17:00 UTC
- What: The Authentication service will be updated as an iterative release to Offline Token support. This release will allow for offline access scope. Based on the token policy, the "offline_access" scope will be included in authorization grants which customers may see. Client credential grants have always been implicitly offline; now the authorization service will make this explicit by adding the "offline_access" scope to all "client_credentials" grants. The OIDC Discovery endpoint will also be updated to include "sid" in the supported claims declaration, "offline_access" in the supported scopes declaration, and "1" in the ACR values declaration.
- What: The Hosted Login service will be updated to include the OIDC client id in session events and improve the accuracy of evaluated "sms" and "email" times. The system will also have changes made to support Hosted Login v3.
- What: The browser interface for the Console will be updated to address defects within a number of sections, primarily the Manage Agents section. This release also corrects the issue where invited agents do not see any applications after registering.
What: The SIEM Event Delivery service will undergo a database upgrade that will be transparent to customers. While the upgrade is taking place, the configuration API will be offline, however, events will still be sent through the system.
- Component Area(s)*: OpenID Connect, Hosted Login, Console, SIEM Event Delivery
- Duration/Impact: The service will remain operational during this period.

* Component Area(s) - The Identity Cloud API documentation for each Component Area and Associated Service can be found on Akamai Techdocs.

* SSL certificates for Akamai Identity Cloud - All public-facing Akamai Identity Cloud endpoints are protected with HTTPS using newer versions of TLS. Akamai closely monitors security industry standards and works to make sure our systems are as secure as possible while maintaining reasonable compatibility with the majority of possible clients. For details, please reference the Akamai Identity Cloud Certificate Authority Policy on the TechDocs site.

* Custom JavaScript - Akamai reserves the right to introduce modifications to the Hosted Login service that may affect the functionality of custom JavaScript code. Impacts to custom JS are not considered service incidents, and it is the customer’s responsibility to revise their custom JS to accommodate changes to the product as needed. See JavaScript Injection on Techdocs.

The service will remain operational during this period with no disruptions expected for any AIC customer or their users. However, if you experience a service issue during or shortly after this planned change please contact AkaTec at the numbers listed here.
