On October 9-10, 2024 UTC, the Identity Cloud will undergo a mandatory AWS database upgrade in order to benefit from the most current security, privacy, and availability safeguards. During this upgrade, there will be two (2) separate periods of downtime lasting approximately 1 minute each. These two periods of downtime will occur within the same ~4 hour maintenance window.

During the two 1-minute downtime periods, end users will not be able to login, register, or update their profile, and administrators will not be able to access user records or update Capture settings. (OIDC clients and settings are unaffected.) In either case, they will need to wait ~1 minute or less and try again.

Akamai will perform this upgrade to each database during region-specific low traffic times. The following lists the maintenance window for each region:

US: 9 October 2024, 09:00-13:00 UTC
Australia: 9 October 2024, 14:00-18:00 UTC
Singapore: 9 October 2024, 15:00-19:00 UTC
China: 9 October 2024, 17:00-21:00 UTC
Japan: 9 October 2024, 17:00-21:00 UTC
Europe: 10 October 2024, 00:00-04:00 UTC
Russia: 10 October 2024, 00:00-04:00 UTC
